Announcing Touchwood PR’s 2017 TIFF Lineup!
Come September 7th, celebrities, filmmakers and cinephiles will flood the streets once again for 10 days of chaotic excellence that is the Toronto International Film Festival! Out of a whopping 339 films screening at this year’s Festival, Touchwood will represent 8 – the cream of the crop! From a bizarre political dramedy about body-swapping YAs, to a restless mother who abandons her family and finds deep-sea diving, our diverse roster spans both genre and language.

THE GUARDIANS/LES GARDIENNES

Synopsis: Four young South African friends on a camping trip on an isolated farm wake up to discover they’ve all swapped bodies. As they navigate a labyrinth of so-called Rainbow Nation politics, they capture their bizarre predicament in selfie videos – with hilarious and tragic results.
THE HOUSE BY THE SEA/LA VILLA

Synopsis: Three grown children gathered at the picturesque villa of their dying father reflect on where they are, who they have become, and what they have inherited, in Robert Guédiguian’s elegiac tribute to a family and a fading lifestyle.

Synopsis: A substance abuse counsellor gets arrested for a DUI and returns to her hometown of Niagara Falls where she learns that her estranged father is dying of cancer and wants her to form a bond with her teenaged half-sister that she’s never met.
