Gerry Dee Lands His First US Role on the Fox Series 'The Moodys'

Toronto, ON—October 28, 2019—It’s been a busy year for Canada’s favourite comedian. Gerry Dee, the newly announced host of CBC’s Family Feud Canada has been cast in the upcoming holiday event series The Moodys alongside Denis Leary, Elizabeth Perkins and Jay Baruchel.

Written by comedy veterans Bob Fisher (Wedding Crashers); Rob Greenberg (How I Met Your Mother) and Tad Quill (Scrubs), The Moodys is an adaption of the popular Australian series of the same name. The show follows a tight-knit, but slightly dysfunctional family of five, all of whom gather in their hometown of Chicago for the “perfect” holiday. Dee plays Roger Moody the brother of Leary’s character, Sean Sr.

“It was a thrill to work with all of these talented people and I’m very excited for everyone to meet this dysfunctional family,” said Dee. “Getting to know The Moodys is the perfect way for families to mentally prepare for their own holiday get-togethers.”

The Moodys
will air over three nights, with back-to-back episodes beginning Wednesday, December 4 at 9 PM and 9:30 PM EST on Fox. The series continues the following week with back-to-back episodes on Monday, December 9 and Tuesday, December 10, also at 9PM and 9:30 PM EST.

Fans of Gerry Dee will also have a chance to see him live as he goes out on the road in January for his new ‘Alone. On A Stage.’ tour. Dee will visit 20 cities across Canada beginning at Partridge Hall in St. Catharines on Friday, January 17 and concluding on Friday, May 2 at the Centre in the Square in Kitchener.
