THE CHARACTERS TALENT AGENCY APPOINTS JENNIFER GOLDHAR AS PRESIDENT

The Characters Talent Agency today announced Jennifer Goldhar will move into the role of President, effective immediately, replacing agency founder, Larry Goldhar.  Larry Goldhar will retire from his representation duties after almost 50 years of working as an agent and take on the newly created role of CEO overseeing the organization’s administrative structure.  Ryan Goldhar will inherit Larry’s longstanding client list ensuring a smooth transition for the agency. Additionally, Tyman Stewart has been appointed as President of the agency’s Vancouver office, replacing Leonard Bonnell.

“It’s hard to believe that Lawrie Rotenberg, Mike Scott and I started a crazy little company 46 ½ years ago that turned into an amazingly successful operation, representing members of the entertainment industry,” said Larry Goldhar. “When we started, there were only four other established agencies. None of them exist today amongst the over 100 agencies that submit performers, producers, directors, writers and technical people. I could not be prouder of the legacy we have created.”

“Larry built this company with integrity, respect for others and an unparalleled passion for his clients,” said Jennifer Goldhar. “I plan to continue this longstanding tradition and ensure The Characters remains a leader in the industry and an agency actors strive to be a part of.”

Jennifer has been with The Characters for over 20 years, 18 of which she has worked as an agent. In her role as President, she will oversee the day-to-day business of the agency while maintaining her roster of clients. Jennifer represents some of Canada’s biggest talent including Jason Priestley, Tatiana Maslany, Donald Sutherland, Zoie Palmer, and Anthony Lemke, among many others.

Ryan Goldhar who represents well-known actors such as Kate Vernon, Tara Spencer-Nairn and Torri Higginson, has been with the agency since 2011.  Ryan comes from a background of executive producing with How to Plan An Orgy In a Small Town, I Put a Hit On You and Sex After Kids as recent credits.
