The Festival will present 25 feature films including 2 shorts packages stemming from Canada and around the world - and is planned as both a live and virtual event. Submissions are to be made via FilmFreeway. Early submissions can be made at discounted rates until January 31, 2022. Regular deadline to submit films is January 31, 2022, with a late deadline of February 21, 2022. Additional dates and information can be found at www.bluemtnfilmfest.ca.

The launch of BMFF and the appointment of Helen du Toit as Executive & Artistic Director was announced in December 2021. Film-lovers and filmmakers are invited to connect, be inspired and escape into the mountains to enjoy the very best in international and Canadian cinema. BMFF will host the festival at the Blue Mountain Village Conference Centre with programming details to come.

Inspired and curated by du Toit, BMFF will program films from around the globe -- with a spotlight on Ontario productions -- and welcoming international and Canadian filmmakers to showcase their latest projects to film savvy audiences. The destination Festival also offers international and domestic film industry professionals the opportunity to come together and share ideas in an idyllic setting during its Creative Forum taking place from June 1-3, 2022.
