SKYLINE’S THE LIMIT MARKS THE SECOND CITY’S 87TH MAINSTAGE REVUE

Toronto, ON, March 16, 2023 – Toronto's favourite comedy institution, The Second City, today unveiled details about its 87th Mainstage Revue, Skyline’s The Limit, in celebration of its 50th anniversary in Canada. Stacked with the city’s best improv and comedy actors including PHATT alAndy AssafAndy HullNkasi OgbonnahHannah Spear, and Jillian Welsh, the show is the first original Mainstage production to premiere at The Second City’s newest Toronto home at One York Street, which opened at the end of 2022.

Three-time Second City alumna and Canadian Comedy Award winner Kirsten Rasmussen makes her directorial debut and Ayaka Kinugawa returns to the company as music director. Matt Keevins joins the ensemble as stage manager and Second City Alumni, Darryl Hinds completes the team as Assistant Director. 

Skyline’s the Limit will cover all the most important comedic topics in Toronto from the tallest skyscraper to the depths of Lake Ontario and will take viewers on a wild ride through the stratosphere of humour. The show promises to deliver the hilarity, wit, and satire that The Second City is known for. Fans and comedy enthusiasts alike can anticipate an exceptional production that will not only entertain but also leave a lasting impression.  

The producing team includes Ed Wells (CEO), Carly Heffernan (Artistic Director), Elizabeth Howard (VP of Production), and Susan Waycik (Producer). The show schedule is as follows beginning March 30, 2023: Tuesdays-Thursdays at 8pm; Fridays at 7pm & 10pm, Saturdays at 7pm & 10pm; and Sundays at 7pm.
