TORONTO, ON - October 1, 2026 - Skywild Pictures today announced the promotions of Natalie Urquhart to Vice President, Content and Olivia Tharme to Director of Development, expanding the company’s creative leadership team as it continues to build its slate of scripted film and television projects.
The promotions come as Skywild continues to expand its development slate and build relationships with writers, creators and partners in Canada and internationally. Previous development projects announced earlier this year include TREASURE HUNTERS CLUB, OUR LITTLE SECRET, and THE AFFINITIES.
In her new role as Vice President, Content, Urquhart will oversee Skywild’s content strategy and development slate, leading the acquisition and development of projects across film and television, and working closely with creators and industry partners to advance projects toward production.
“Natalie has been instrumental in shaping Skywild’s creative direction and building the slate we have today,” said Angela Jennings, President, Skywild Pictures. “She combines exceptional creative instincts with a strong understanding of the marketplace and has been an integral part of our accelerated growth. This expanded leadership role is incredibly well-deserved.”
Urquhart joined Skywild in August 2025 following six years as Director of Development at Wildling Pictures, where her credits included acclaimed projects SUZE, PAYING FOR IT and YOUNG WERTHER. Her previous experience includes roles at Amaze Film + Television and Blue Ant Media, as well as serving as an Associate Producer on SUITS.
As Director of Development, Tharme will take on increased responsibility across Skywild’s scripted slate, working with writers and creators to develop and package projects while identifying new material and talent. Prior to joining Skywild, Tharme held roles at Lionsgate Canada, Entertainment One and Rogers Sports & Media.
“Olivia has made an immediate impact at Skywild and has become an important part of our creative team,” said Jennings. “She has a sharp eye for material, a thoughtful approach to development and a natural ability to build relationships with creators. This promotion recognizes the significant role she is already playing in the build of our slate.”
